Reconquista - A Mini Statue for Mighty Warrior
Reconquista (our working title) emerged from a private commission to forge a one-of-a-kind miniature for a client’s relative. The subject is no ordinary enthusiast, but a seasoned participant in one of Europe’s major historical festivals ~ a man who steps into the past with conviction, armour, and purpose.
The brief challenged us to capture him as a frontline warrior, complete with precise heraldic markings and authentic festival branding. It gave us licence to unleash the full breadth of our craft: sculpting weaponry with battlefield presence, engineering a commanding stance, and weaving in just enough swords-and-sandals drama to bring the figure roaring to life.
Crucially, the client armed us with superbly accurate reference material from the outset. Those details allowed us to remain fiercely faithful to the man himself while pushing the miniature into a realm where realism and storytelling collide.
From first sketches to final varnish, this warrior marched from concept to completion in just two weeks — a compact timeline, but the kind that sharpens focus and elevates every decision.
